Pasta Pesto with MATR “bacon”

Pasta Pesto with MATR “bacon” is a twist on the classic Italian Pasta Pesto, elevating it to new heights with the addition of crispy, savory bits of MATR. This fusion marries the herbaceous, aromatic allure of the basil-forward notes of the pesto, with the smoky, salty umami richness of Matr. A symphony of flavors on the palate with a satisfying MATR crunch against the backdrop of silky pasta and creamy pesto.



Pasta pesto:

  • 200 g Pasta
  • 3 tbsp Pesto

MATR “bacon”

  • 100 g MATR mice
  • 3 tsp Tahini
  • 3 tbsp Sunflower oil
  • 2 tsp Smoked paprika
  • 2 tsp Soy sauce

1. Cook your pasta as instructed on the package in plenty of salted water.
2. Marinate Matr minced meat in smoked paprika, tahini, garlic powder, and soy sauce. Sauté over medium heat in plenty of oil until it’s fully cooked and slightly crispy. Remove your Matr bacon from the pan.
3. Mix pasta and pesto together.
4. Serve Pasta Pesto with Matr minced meat on top.
