Randi Wahlsten is CEO and co-founder of MATR. Before founding MATR, she spent 5 years as a consultant at McKinsey & Company, and 10 years in commercial and strategy roles at Arla Foods, giving her extensive experience at the intersection of business, growth and the food industry.
She holds a master’s degree in Political Science from the University of Copenhagen and has been recognised with the EIT Women in Innovation Award, the Danish Industries Biosolutions Pioneer Award and an Honorary Diploma from the Danish Gastronomic Academy. She was selected as one of the 25 Female Entrepreneurs to Watch in 2024. She was also selected for Kraks Blå Bog in 2026.
Favourite way to eat MATR: MATR chunks on pizza with a white sage base, or thinly sliced, pepper-fried MATR on bread with pickles.
