Marketing Intern

We have launched our first line of products in branded partnerships with Gasoline Grill and Sticks'n’Sushi as well as in canteens and restaurants. We are now looking to start our production and commercial scaling and build a solid strategy for international expansion.

The Role: 

If you are a natural communicator and creative content lover with a passion for sustainability and amazing food, you are just what we are looking for. In this role, you will support our marketing efforts by developing and implementing engaging social media campaigns. We are working event-based, with collaborations with great restaurants and people. But we are also looking to find good and engaging ways to talk about the issues of the broken food industry, the biodiversity crisis, the health crisis, and food waste that we are passionately building our business on.

You will also be part of supporting our broader marketing strategy and preparing for our retail launch in Denmark.

You will work closely with our marketing team to create content, manage social media platforms, interact with our online community, and analyze campaign performance.

To support our mission we are looking for a 3-6 months, unpaid internship position full-time.

 

As main tasks, you will:

  • Be part of further developing our brand communication strategy, tone of voice, and target groups
  • Assist in developing our retail launch campaign
  • Developing and executing social media marketing strategies and campaigns.
  • Create compelling content, including written posts, images, videos, and graphics, for various social media platforms.
  • Engage with our online community and respond to comments, messages, and inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
  • Monitor social media trends, analyze campaign performance, and provide actionable insights and recommendations.
  • Research and identify key influencers, bloggers, and online communities to engage with and expand our brand presence.
  • Design and conduct target group insight research and analysis

 

The job is for you if ... 

  • Currently pursuing a degree in marketing, communications, or a related field (or a recent graduate).
  • Passionate about sustainability, healthy food, and making a positive impact.
  • Strong written and verbal as well as visual communication skills, with an ability to create engaging content.
  • Proficiency in using social media platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn.
  • Basic knowledge of social media analytics tools and the ability to interpret data.
  • Creative mindset with an eye for design and storytelling.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently, as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Familiarity with sustainable food trends and knowledge of the social media landscape is a plus.

Business Development Intern

The Role: 

We are seeking a highly motivated and dynamic Business Development Intern to join our team. As a Business Development Intern, you will help us lay the ground for the international expansion strategy. You will get hands-on experience with start-up life and decisions and get a chance to join concrete sales and marketing initiatives.

You will be working closely with the CEO of MATR Foods as well as the commercial team.

To support our mission we are looking for a 3-6 months, unpaid internship position full-time.

 

As main tasks, you will:

  • Conduct market research and analyze industry trends to identify key market segments and customer needs
  • Assist in creating and delivering engaging presentations to potential clients, partners, and investors
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive new business opportunities
  • Assist in identifying and evaluating potential business opportunities, partnerships, and collaborations
  • Support the development and implementation of marketing and sales strategies
  • In short: you will help form the international growth strategy and support the investment journey of MATR Foods from initial proof of concept to international growth.

  • Currently pursuing a (Bachelor's or) Master's degree in business, administration, marketing, economy, or related fields
  • Strong interest in sustainable food, agriculture, and environmental issues
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills

Assistant Production Manager

The Role: 

The Assistant Production Manager will be responsible for supporting the Production Manager in the daily tasks of food production. The Assistant Production Manager will be responsible for the evening production shift from 14:00 to 22:00 on Mondays to Fridays, where they will play a hands-on role in the production. The Assistant Production Manager will have to adhere to and update Standard Operating Procedures, quality control parameters, food safety, and cleaning protocol. You will also be in charge of inventory management, ordering, production planning, labeling, yield control, fermentation controls, batch testing, and production flow optimization. There will be additional tasks when testing machinery, new processes, or ingredients. The Assistant Production Manager will be involved in the daily production and cleaning duties associated with the production of Matr.

Assistant Production Manager - Reporting directly to the Production Manager MATR Foods. You will be expected to independently lead a team of up to 10 production staff

The first month will be shadowing the Production Manager from 9:00 to 17:00 Monday to Friday in the month of August to learn all aspects of the business. September will transition to the evening schedule.

 

As main tasks, you will:

  • Manage the daily production of Matr along with a staff of 10 production assistants.
  • Ensure daily cleaning of production space, equipment, and materials as well as all aspects of food safety.
  • Assist the Production Manager in daily tasks such as production planning, ordering, and inventory management.
  • Improve the workflow of the production.

The job is for you if ... 

  • You are structured, and organized and can plan production to meet changing sales forecasts
  • You have experience in kitchens/food production and want to learn more about industrial food manufacturing
  • Feel comfortable and confident to lead and motivate a team during an evening shift.
  • You are able to maintain high cleaning and food safety standards to ensure consistency and quality
  • You have an interest in the scaling of fermentation and food technology
  • You are naturally curious about fermentation and food

Production Intern

The Role: 

The Production Intern will be involved in the daily production of Matr, where they will learn the ins and outs of pilot-scale food production. The intern will be hands-on in the production 3 days a week where they will be responsible for assisting the Production Manager and the production team on daily tasks. The remaining 2 days a week will focus on various tasks ranging from inventory management, production development, product development, and testing.

Production Intern - Reporting directly to the Head of Production Development MATR Foods.

To support our mission we are looking for a 3-6 months, unpaid internship position on full-time.

 

As main tasks, you will:

  • Assist in the production of Matr 3 days per week
  • Assist the production team in daily cleaning duties
  • Assist the Production Manager in daily tasks such as ordering, stock management, organization, SOPs, etc.
  •  Assist Production Development in daily tasks such as testing, planning and recording experiments, and quality control tastings.
